The movie displays that what all happens for Vote Bank politics in India. People who want welfare of the state or nation above money, howsoever powerful they are, cant survive in the war of Power. The cast has been terrific in the movie. Amitabh & Abhishek Bachchan have been above par. The movie wouldnt have been a success without them. The intensity of roles and the wealth of power has been amazingly displayed by them. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has rocked too in the movie. She is looking stunningly beautiful and you can actually see how lovely a pair they both look with each other.

The story takes lead from the prequel Sarkar in which Amitabh was displayed as the undisputed king of the politics in Maharshtra. The supremacy has taken well by Abhishek and Amitabh has taken a back seat in the movie. The movie deals about setting up a power plant in the state of Maharashtra for which eventually few villages has to give up their land. It also displays that how to reach the pinnacle in politics, what the politicians can do at the same time.

Amitji & AB Jr. are the most powerful political family in Maharashtra and when Aish comes from US to setup up the power plant in India, how the family looks at the future of the state, putting their own reputation on stake by asking the farmers to provide land for the project.

The vision of looking at the better tomorrow made them fight with a local leader, who has a blood relationship with the undisputed king of the region, "Rao Sahab". It takes the form of a war where both AB Jr and the local leader have a different perspective looking at the welfare of the state. The battle turns out of be a lethal one where many lose their lives.

A very powerful statement was made by Sarkar (Amitabh) in the middle, when he says to the chief minister... "Aap Goverment se ho, government aapse nahi..." which if completely translated in hindi means...

Aap Sarkar se ho, Sarkar aapse nahi...

Its very subtle but it actually depicts how a lot of thought has been given for scriptwriting and dialogs of the movie.

The story takes many unexpected twists and turns. The politics of power takes the blood and lives of many. The story ends with a statement which makes immense sense about how the politics is done in this country...

To kill is a crime, but to kill at the right time is politics......

I think the cast has done complete justice to the movie and if it would have been a different cast, the movie wouldnt have been a success. Abhishek has really looked a charmer again and all you girls are gonna fall for him.

The movie certainly has some flaws, but still looking at the genre and the past success, the directors do get carried away. The last 10 minutes of the movie are really stretched for long but it doesnt looses the grip in the middle.

All in all, a good watch and worth spending few bucks in the theatre.

Street Kings

A story of a LAPD detective who wants to finish crime from the streets. He has no life to live after the death of her wife so he wants to live a life by giving others. He is blamed of racism having a mexican girlfriend and he wants to take revenge for the death of his black partner.

Its been long since any good suspense thriller has been released. The 'drama' genre is rocking these days. But here is a chance to watch a suspense thriller which wont let you leave your seats. If you would have liked "The Departed", then certainly you will like this one.

A story which shows some truth of how killer squads are run and what is done in order to keep them running. Its a fantastic performace by Keanue Reeves and Forest Whitaker again has rocked as the Squad Leader.

The story begins with the detective saving the life of some Japanese girls and there he starts the tussle with his old buddie and partner. The story takes twists and turns and the unexpected things happens just when you start expecting. The cast is great and it reminded me of movie "The Departed" (Jack Nicholson & Dicaprio) and "16 Blocks" (Bruce Willis).

I havent updated my blog since long because i did not watch a movie worth mentioning. Soon I am going to put up a list of "Dont Watch!!!".

Stunned, Amazed, Vowed!!!

A romatic story based on the love life of an Irish man and an American woman. A story which is going to spellbound you. A story which spells true love. A story which i fell in love with. Something which is extra-ordinary, and makes you feel special. If you like watching a romantic movie even a little, then i guess you should go for it.

If you guys havent watched a romantic flick for long, guess this is your turn. This is the among the best i have seen till date and i wish i can do it for my woman some day.

The story is based on how true love can be expressed even when you dont remain in the life of your love. It shows that love never ends, even if you die. This movie makes you cry, laugh, think, do all of this at the same time.

If you are too emotional then my advice is that you better sit with a bunch of tissues otherwise you are gonna end up with a wet t-shirt.

I really loved the dialogs in this movies, and it has potrayed well how women reacts many a time. When they tell that the sacred secret is that they dont know what they want most of the times... hehe

The cast includes Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler, and i swear you girls are going to fall for Butler here. He has really looked charming and vowed with his looks in the movie. Hilary Swank has done complete justice to her role. I think it was a perfect cast to go with where a handsome man and a sweet & loveable woman was needed. No wonders both have done great justice with their roles.

One of the funniest comedy shows involving people on this planet called, 'The Geeks'. A show which has a lot of fun, with a lot of meaningful (sexy :D) comedy. Smart is the new Sexy...

I have only watched 2 episodes till date, but it’s hilarious, and I really liked it a lot. It’s a story of Leonard and Sheldon (I call them geeks) who are studying and a new neighbor, Penny (a sexy, hot and beautiful chick) comes in their apartment. It’s a story that how everyone falls in loves with her, and tries to impress her with their amazing talents.

It’s a story where you will listen to how the open windows affect you, how the air does come and what all it can cause to you... How much cleanliness is important in life, how you can start establishing premises and reasons. :P

Just quoting one instance from the 1st episode where the guys are driving a car and talking...

The Bank Job

How long have you guys been waiting for a movie based on bank robbery, guess here is your turn. A crime, thriller and a true story of 70's when a bank was robbed on London streets. This one will certainly hold you back to your screens.

It was a robbery worth more than 4 million pounds, and it all disappeared from the news in a flash. There were many who were arrested following the case which includes many government officials and gang leaders.

A man who is a local villain, offered to rob a bank by a super model, all with support of the government. The whole motive is to find out certain photographs, which can lead the government to arrest a drug trafficker.

The story takes twist and turn, when the group finds out that there were other things than the desired photographs, and the cash and jewels which make their life miserable.

The lead robber is played by Jason Statham and the supermodel is Saffron Burrows. The group of robbers is a bunch of gifted actors who have played their part quite well. The movie contains a little nudity, so be aware of it, if you are watching it at home.

The Great Debaters

A great movie based on a true story and the American society in 1935, when the blacks were treated differently. The movie is definitely a must watch for people who love watching Period Movies and movies concerned to the society. The truth of the movie still stands and may be blacks are not treated so differently in the States, but for any society which is treated so, it stands true for all of them.

The cast includes the great Denzel Washington himself, who has directed the movie too, then Forest Whitaker, from the movie The Last King of Scotland and also Vantage point.

The cast has done a great job and justified themselves in the movie. The movie has lots of sequences which will spellbound you. I am just quoting few for the reference...

One, when the kid was selected for the debate team, he ran to his house...

S-"Dad.."
F-"Junior, What is... the greatest weakness of men?"
S-"Not believing... Doubt..."
F-"That's it, Thank you Jr."

and then the father asks his son after being told abt the selection...

F-"What do we do here?"
S-"We do what we have to do, so that we do what we want to do..."

and when Forest Whitaker says...

"An unjust Law is No Law at all..."

originally said by St. Augustine, also makes perfect sense...

And it all ends with a punch...

When in a debate, on the topic "Civil Dis-obidience is a more weapon in the fight of justice", arguing the affirmative, the Negro boy(quoting from movie...) says...

He quotes an incident where a Negro was lynched("Any act of violence inflicted by a mob upon the body of another person which results in the death of the person."), and he says...

"I have a right, even duty to resist, with violence, or civil dis-obidience. You should pray I choose the latter...."

Go ahead guys, buy a DVD and i promise, its worth every single penny spent.
