Sarkar Raj

A movie based on how dirty politics is played in India. Its a Sequel to movie Sarkar and again has proved that Ram Gopal Verma is a good producer when it comes to Politics, Crime & Thriller genre. The movie displays that what all happens for Vote Bank politics in India. People who want welfare of the state or nation above money, howsoever powerful they are, cant survive in the war of Power. It says...
Power can not be give, It has to be taken...

The cast has been terrific in the movie. Amitabh & Abhishek Bachchan have been above par. The movie wouldnt have been a success without them. The intensity of roles and the wealth of power has been amazingly displayed by them. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has rocked too in the movie. She is looking stunningly beautiful and you can actually see how lovely a pair they both look with each other.

The story takes lead from the prequel Sarkar in which Amitabh was displayed as the undisputed king of the politics in Maharshtra. The supremacy has taken well by Abhishek and Amitabh has taken a back seat in the movie. The movie deals about setting up a power plant in the state of Maharashtra for which eventually few villages has to give up their land. It also displays that how to reach the pinnacle in politics, what the politicians can do at the same time.

Amitji & AB Jr. are the most powerful political family in Maharashtra and when Aish comes from US to setup up the power plant in India, how the family looks at the future of the state, putting their own reputation on stake by asking the farmers to provide land for the project.

The vision of looking at the better tomorrow made them fight with a local leader, who has a blood relationship with the undisputed king of the region, "Rao Sahab". It takes the form of a war where both AB Jr and the local leader have a different perspective looking at the welfare of the state. The battle turns out of be a lethal one where many lose their lives.

A very powerful statement was made by Sarkar (Amitabh) in the middle, when he says to the chief minister... "Aap Goverment se ho, government aapse nahi..." which if completely translated in hindi means...
Aap Sarkar se ho, Sarkar aapse nahi...

Its very subtle but it actually depicts how a lot of thought has been given for scriptwriting and dialogs of the movie.

The story takes many unexpected twists and turns. The politics of power takes the blood and lives of many. The story ends with a statement which makes immense sense about how the politics is done in this country...

To kill is a crime, but to kill at the right time is politics......

I think the cast has done complete justice to the movie and if it would have been a different cast, the movie wouldnt have been a success. Abhishek has really looked a charmer again and all you girls are gonna fall for him.

My Personal Rating : 7/10

IMDB Rating: 7.5/10
IMDB Link: Sarkar Raj

The movie certainly has some flaws, but still looking at the genre and the past success, the directors do get carried away. The last 10 minutes of the movie are really stretched for long but it doesnt looses the grip in the middle.

All in all, a good watch and worth spending few bucks in the theatre.

Great Watch...

Cheers!!!

"i know maharashtrians in pune are shitheads who crib more and more, more and more over trivial isssues. Its a bank manager who says you cannot be given a loan just cos you are outsider. fuck you, what do you mean by outsider ?

i feel the people out here are not open to change and they live in age old mentality of closed mindedness....

and about ur term about hindi, like it or not. it is the NATIONAL LANGUAGE.

What makes you moan about "Pune", the bhamte people. who are nothin but comic jokers, those who feel pride in misguidin ppl and sleepin at home at 1-4 PM....

and dont you guys pull each others of yourself ? dontcha ? can u guys go into business ? i dont think so...

ghatis can do business ? and last did u hear raj thackeray speak ? or are they ur original thoughts ? if they r your original thoughts then pls come over them, you need serious overhauling....

Maharashtra is not INDIA, just a part of India. there are 27 other states in the country n better than yours. okay ?

i was replying to the above comments ashu has posted. she was the one who was genaralising. i was offended and i replied.

yes regoinalism exists. it exists in every state and its worst in south india. ive lived there. i know.so wake up from ur dream that no regionalism exits

every state has its own culture and tradition. i think u should learn to adapt to that or atleast not impose ur views on them. i think im being fair enough here am i not?

old pune is conservative. how do u expect them to change their age old ways and manner of thinking and living just because u want them to?

ashu started al that shit about 'ghatis','bhamtes' etc. and the attitude of maharashtrians. u think that was fair? she generalised.Uve not commented on these rasict comments that ashu has posted. strange. maybe because she's ur friend? is she not being regional here?

read carefully on the way she was generalising. if this is how she thinks abt the people in the city where she stays, nothing wrong in them disliking the 'outsiders' is it?

if tomorrow u go to the US and except them to serve u indian food in their restaurants, would u crib and give them gaalis?

yes . i do know that all people are not the same. all maharashtrians too are not nice... but and open mindset will definitely go a long way in changing attitude wont it?

if u dont like maharshrastian sense of business, go somewhere else. y crib?

yes. i know maharashtra is a part of india. everyone is welcome to move to any part of the country. there is no part of india which is totally good/bad. but racism and abusing the place/people whom u stay with is definitely not what i call maturity...

i hate such discussions because more often than not they do tend to turn nasty...

peace.
